Having been interested in art for as long as I can remember, I have invested a lifetime of art exploration in pursuing control over a diverse number of mediums. In my later years I picked up a watercolor brush and something resonated within me. It has been my choice of medium ever since.

My subject matter is taken from the natural world around me which I paint from living specimens and my own photography. My work tends to be intricately detailed and realistic. The time involved to achieve this has become a meditative practice that, over the years, has drawn me deeper and deeper into my subject matter and also into the complexities of color and the revelations of light.

My work can be seen at juried art festivals, or at my studio in Memphis, Tennessee, where I spend my days with a brush in hand.
